The Apostolic Nunciature in Washington was honored to host a reception on May 8, 2026, commemorating the first anniversary of the election of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV. The event was hosted by the newly appointed Nuncio to the United States, Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia and Monsignor Juan Antonio Cruz Serrano, Permanent Observer of the Holy See to the Organization of American States. It brought together members of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as representatives of civil, ecclesiastical, and cultural institutions from across the Washington area. The evening offered an occasion of fraternity and gratitude for the Holy Father’s first year of Petrine ministry and service to the universal Church.
